Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0 for E-mail
If you are trying to double check and make sure you have your E-mail settings correct, click here.
Open Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0. Go to the "Tools" menu and click on "Accounts".
Go to the "Add" menu and click on "Mail...".
Type in your name or an alias, then click "Next".
Type in your E-mail address, then click "Next".
Type the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server as, "pop.cxp.com" and the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server as, "smtp.cxp.com". Click on "Next".
Type in your "Username" and "Password", then click "Next".
Enter your "E-mail Address" for the Internet mail account name (Also Known As Friendly Name). Click on "Next >".
Click on the circle (radio button) beside the option, "I will establish my Internet connection manually". Click on "Next >".
We are almost done! Go ahead and click on "Finish".
We should be back to that familiar window from earlier near the beginning! Click the "Close" button.
That's it!! Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0 should now be configured to receive e-mail from your CyberXpress account. To have your mail delivered or received, click on "Send and Receive". If you're not already connected, Outlook should use your Dial-Up Networking connection to dial CyberXpress. All received mail should appear in the Inbox.
