Setting up Internet Explorer 4.0 for Internet Access & E-mail
If you are just trying to check your Browser (Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0) settings, then click here.
It is highly recommended to get the latest version of Internet Explorer from Microsoft.
If you do not see an Icon on your Desktop called "Internet Connection Wizard" or "Connection Wizard" then go ahead and go to the "Task Bar" and click on

Click on "Next >".
Click on the circle (radio button) beside the option, "I want to set up a new connection on this computer to my existing Internet account using my phone line or local area network (LAN).". Click on "Next >"
Click on the circle (radio button) beside the option, "Connect using my phone line". Click on "Next >".
(NOTE! This screen might NOT come up, if it does not go ahead to the next step below) Click the circle (radio button) beside the option, "Create a new dial-up connection". Click "Next >".
Type "904" for the Area code and "394-5000" for the Telephone number. The Country name and code should be, "United States of America (1)". Unselect the option, "Dial using the area code and country code". Click on "Next >".
Enter your "Username" and "password". Click "Next >"
Click the circle (radio button) with the option, "Yes". Click on "Next >".
Click the circle (radio button) with the option, "PPP (Point to Point Protocol). Click on "Next >".
Click the circle (radio button) with the option, "I don't need to type anything when logging on". Click on "Next >".
Click the circle (radio button) with the option, "My Internet service provider automatically assigns me one." Click on "Next >".
Click the circle (radio button) with the option, "Always use the following:". Type in "209.136.4.2" for the DNS server and type in "209.136.4.3" for the Alternate DNS server. Click on "Next >".
Type in "CyberXpress" for the Connection name. Click on "Next >".
Click the circle (radio button) beside the option, "Yes". Click on "Next >".
(NOTE! This screen might NOT come up, if it does not go ahead to the next step below) Click the circle (radio button) beside the option, "Create a new Internet mail account". Click "Next >".
Type your name or an alias in the Display name text box. Click on "Next >".
Type in your E-mail address. Click "Next >".
For the Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server type in "pop.cxp.com" and for the Outgoing mail (SMTP) server type in "smtp.cxp.com". Click on "Next >".
Make sure you have the circle (radio button) with the option, "Log on using:" selected. Type in your "Username" for the POP account name and type your password in. Click on "Next >".
Type in your E-mail address for the Internet mail account name (Also known as Friendly Name). Click on "Next >".
Click the circle (radio button) with the option, "Yes". Click on "Next >".
(NOTE! This screen might NOT come up, if it does not go ahead to the next step below) Click the circle (radio button) beside the option, "Create a new Internet news account". Click "Next >".
Type in your name or an alias. Click on "Next >".
Enter in your E-mail address. Click on "Next >".
Type in "nntp.cxp.com" for the News (NNTP) server. Make sure that the option, "My news server requires me to log on" is NOT selected. Click on "Next >".
Click on the circle (radio button) with the option, "No". Click on "Next >".
That should be it! Go ahead and click on "Finish".
That's it!! Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 and Microsoft Outlook Express 4.0 should now be configured. Whenever you go to open up the Browser (Internet Explorer) or E-mail program (Outlook Express), if you're not already connected, Microsoft should use your Dial-Up Networking connection to dial CyberXpress.
