Checking Internet Explorer 4.0 settings
It is highly recommended to get the latest version of Internet Explorer from Microsoft.
Go ahead and go to the "Task Bar" and click on

.
Open up the "Internet" Icon by double clicking on it.
You should now be under the "General" tab. Make sure you have the "Home page" Address set to "http://members.cxp.com/". Click on the "Security" tab.
You will probably want your security set to "Medium (more secure)". This choice is up to you. Since the "Content" tab shouldn't need to be touched ever, will skip it. Click on the "Connection" tab.
Make sure you have the circle (radio button) with the option, "Connect to the Internet using a modem" selected. See next screen shot below...
If you have Filtered Internet Access with CyberXpress (That would be Internet Access with certain Filters that block out Adult Content and other Misc. sites) then you need to make sure you check these settings. If you do not have Filtered Internet Access with us, then skip this screen and click on "Settings...".
Make sure you have the option, "Access the Internet using a proxy server" selected. Make sure you have the Address typed in as "proxy.cxp.com" and the Port typed in as "8821". Click on "Settings...".
Make sure you have your "Username" typed in the User field and that you have your password typed in. Make sure that there is nothing typed in the Domain: (optional) field. Make sure the ONLY option selected out of the three (3) at the bottom of this window is "Disconnect if idle for [*30] minutes". Click on "OK", then click on the "Programs" tab.
*ANY number can be here. 30 seems to be the *best* time to go with.
Since CyberXpress suggest using Outlook Express with Internet Explorer for E-mail, go ahead and make sure that Mail is set for "Outlook Express" and that News is set for "Outlook Express". This should have "done it"! Go ahead and click on "OK".
That's it!! Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.0 should now be configured. Whenever you go to open up the Browser (Internet Explorer) or E-mail program (Outlook Express), if you're not already connected, Microsoft should use your Dial-Up Networking connection to dial CyberXpress.
If you have any problems after doing/trying this configuration, feel free to contact technical support at (904) 354-3992.
