Dial-Up networking is a program that allows you to connect to other computers. This

place the name CyberXpress in that box. Then click on Next>.

number box. Then click on Next>.
It should now prompt you with "You have successfully created a new Dial-Up
Networking connection called: CyberXpress", now click on Finish.
If you wish to make a shortcut on your desktop for the CyberXpress
connection, click and hold the left mouse button over the CyberXpress Icon and drag
it to your desktop. Then when a box called Shortcut pops up asking you "Do
you want to create a shortcut to the item instead?", Click on Yes. The
shortcut will be named "Shortcut to CyberXpress".
Double-click on the CyberXpress icon and place your name and password in and
click on Connect. Youre almost ready to load your browser and go surfing!
TCP/IP Installed?
In most cases the protocol TCP/IP is not already installed on your computer. We use
the protocol on our provider so you need to make sure you have it installed on your PC.
You might need your Windows 95 CD-ROM for this procedure.
- Click on Start, Settings, then Control Panel.
- Double-click
on the Network Icon.
- Make sure you have the Configuration Tab selected, and then look for the
words TCP/IP in the box that reads "The following network components
are installed:" But make sure it isn't the TCP/IP AOL Dial-up Adapter!
This one won't work.
- If its there then you are ready to explore the Web with CyberXpress! Otherwise
continue with steps 5 and 6.
- Click on Add
, then double-click on Protocol.
- In the Manufacturers: box, click once on Microsoft, and then in the
Network Protocols: box, double-click on TCP/IP. Then press OK.
